Name : QueerCats
Description : QueerCats is an organization that will be utilized as a resource for students who identify as LGBTQIA+ as well as a person of color. However it is open to many different identities. We will focus on ways to uplift and educate through tolerance of others who don't agree or understand what it is like being apart of these communities.
Purpose : Our mission for QueerCats is to promote self-awareness, professionalism, leadership, and advocacy for students who identify as multicultural and LGBTQIA+ within the Texas State Community. We will actively encourage discussion regarding the intersectionality of all characteristics in one space to discuss the commonality of the positives and negatives aspects of identifying with one or more identities.
Membership Requirements : Be a Texas State Student, Faculty, or Staff member wanting to learn about multiple identities.
