Description : Club activities: 1) MSEC student orientation/Kickoff party 2) Welcome tour for newly enrolled students 3) Organize share your culture potluck/meet the grads night 4) Organize End of Year Banquet/ Poster Session /Award Ceremony 5) Publish yearly newsletter and other communication 6) Plan to establish Material Research Society (MRS) University Chapter 7) Social Activities: camping, movie night, tubing, and ice cream parties 8) Community Service/Outreach
Purpose : The primary purpose of MSEC Student Club is to explore and promote academic and career issues related to materials science, engineering, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The club will help those interested in these issues to get to know one another outside the classrooms, laboratories and departments.
Membership Requirements : Membership in this organization is open to all enrolled MSEC students at the Texas State University.
