Name : Paranormal Investigators at Texas State
Description : Paranormal Investigators at Texas State University is a recreational club. The purpose of the organization is to maintain a platform for both skeptics and believers to come together to create dialogues surrounding the possibilities of the supernatural. Specifically, the club will hold meetings, presentations, and networking events wherein its members and other interested parties are encouraged to discuss their own experiences with the paranormal, as well as explore the various social issues that may have influenced the reporting and documenting of purported paranormal occurrences throughout history. In short, this organization aims to facilitate learning about the paranormal through historical and social lenses, with a particular focus on local legends and how they have contributed to the culture of the South-Central Texas hill country.
Purpose : The purpose of the organization is to maintain a platform for both skeptics and believers to come together to create dialogues surrounding the possibilities of the supernatural.
Membership Requirements : The only criteria for members is that they be currently-enrolled Texas State students. Students do not need to be enrolled in classes full-time to be counted as members in a vote. Former members who have already graduated from Texas State University are still allowed to attend meetings and club events, but will not be allowed to vote if they are not enrolled in at least one Texas State course that semester.
