Name : Texas State University
Description : SSE is a student-lead research focused organization focused on all things space related. We offer workshops to our members to learn new skills and opportunities to be involved in academic research and help build and launch Texas State's first low-Earth orbiting satellite.
Purpose : SSE has two primary missions: 1. To build a student body at Texas State University that will learn about Space Exploration by providing an environment designed to teach STEM and academic skills, and to allow for creativity and new ideas. 2. To explore projects in Space Technology to further our understanding of the cosmos and allow SSE members to gain experience in academic research.
Membership Requirements : Requirements to be a member of SSE include being a student (whether undergraduate or graduate) at Texas State University in San Marcos and paying dues for the current academic year.
