Name : Music Student Advisory Council
Description : The Music Student Advisory Council functions as a direct communication between the music department student community and the school's administration and faculty. The council is charged with sharing ideas and concerns of the student population, as well as coordinating multiple department activities throughout the academic year. MuSAC is the voice of the student body and strives to represent and facilitate the interests of all music students.

Membership Requirements : The MuSAC will consist of seven to nine student representatives from the TXST Student Government authorized music service and professional organizations (ACDA, ATSA, CTME, Phi Mu Alpha, Mu Phi Epsilon, Tau Kappa Sigma & Kappa Kappa Psi) . If other organizations are established, the number of student representatives will be adjusted accordingly. In order to ensure all areas of the School of Music are represented, the director of the School of Music has discretion to appoint two at-large members. If the director finds that the student body is well-represented by the current Council, the at-large positions will not be designated.
