Name : Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority
Description : Alpha Sigma Rho has included sisters of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We still endeavor to promote Asian awareness, but we understand that Asian heritage is not a requirement to promote it. We treasure and cherish the differences in our sisters by being respectful, true, and committed to one another. We never leave a sister behind because we share more than just letters and traditions; we share dreams, goals, and a lasting sisterhood that has survived the ages. We are about empowering womanhood, experiencing new adventures with sisters, and building long-lasting friendships.
Purpose : We, the Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, recognize the necessity of promoting sisterhood and Asian-Awareness within the university campus and the community while in the process of pursuing academic excellence as well as interpersonal growth, moral development, and strength in unity.
Membership Requirements : Potential members must attend at least two rush events and one informational session hosted by the Alpha Sigma Rho chapter of their university. Potential members will receive an invite from the sorority. If the invite, or bid, is accepted by the potential member, they become a ?potential new member for Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority and will begin the new member initiation process. All requirements to become an official new member of Alpha Sigma Rho will be stipulated in each individual chapter's Bylaws. All new members shall be required to attend a certain amount of study hours organized by the chapter of their university. All requirements to become an official member of Alpha Sigma Rho will be stipulated in the official New Member Education Process document.
