Name : Bobcat Connection Team
Description : The Bobcat Connection team welcomes first year students to Texas State University by hosting events that showcase the prides and traditions of Texas State and that act resources to help incoming students with their transition on campus.
Purpose : The purpose of the Bobcat Connection Team is to serve as a resource in the onboarding experience of first year students at Texas State University. As current Texas State students, members of the Bobcat Connection Team provide opportunities for first year students to learn about vital campus resources, opportunities to build connections with current students and develop community with their peers, and assisting in the introduction of Texas State pride, traditions, and the reasons to be Proud to be a Bobcat.
Membership Requirements : Must be an enrolled, full time (at least 12 credit hours), undergraduate student at Texas State University. May not graduate any earlier than the Fall semester after their appointment. Must have at least a 2.25 overall GPA at the time of application and maintain that GPA throughout their appointment. First year students with no GPA are eligible to apply and be selected for membership, however they must meet the minimum GPA requirements. Students must maintain at least a 2.25 GPA each semester. If they do not maintain at 2.25 GPA each semester, they will be placed in the academic improvement program ??? which includes mandated meetings and grade checks with the advisors to ensure that the student is improving their academic performance. Must have at least a 2.25 overall GPA at the time of application and maintain that GPA throughout their appointment. Must be in good standing with the university.
