Organization Information
Name : EIG@TXSTATEDescription : EIG@TXSTATE is the first student-level organization of EIG, a professional organization that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. Members have the opportunity to develop real entrepreneurial projects that are introduced by our mentors from EIG. We also will collaborate with students of Texas State's Entrepreneurial Marketing course, as a part of Blended Innovation learning at Texas State. Irreplaceable experience and networking opportunities await at EIG@TXSTATE.
Purpose : The purpose of EIG@TXSTATE is as follows: (1) connect Texas State students with innovative projects by EIG's international partners and foster entrepreneurship in the process, (2) increase international interactions between EIG members and partners in multiple localities in the world, (3) learn to build sustainable business ecosystems by realizing the inadequacy of our individualism and striking a balance between our freedom to pursue creative ideas and real-world requirements, and (4) support and participate in startups created by EIG members. EIG stands for Entrepreneurial Innovators Group, but in business creation, EIG embodies energy, initiation, and glocality.
Membership Requirements : EIG at Texas State membership is open to all Texas State students with a minimum GPA of 2.25 that share an interest in entrepreneurial innovation. Potential members must apply for officer approval.
