Name : Students Against Corona
Description : A student-run organization with the goal of having fun and forging friendships through the trials of COVID with COVID-safe fun and activities for all members. The effects of COVID have severed many bonds that once were the life that breathed through Texas States dorms, dining halls, and classrooms as a result of lockdowns, and mandatory remote learning. The halls of the dorms are where the strongest and deepest of our bonds form, and to lose the sense of community and connectedness does not in any way reflect the spirit and goal of this University.
Purpose : The goal of this group is to rekindle the joy, fun spirited laughs, and meaningful relationships fostered beneath Texas State's roof. Board Games, Group Activities, Movie & Game nights, Study Sessions, Hangouts, Coffee Forums, and more are a few things in store for the maintainment of Texas State's Spirit through the ongoing pandemic.
Membership Requirements : ??? Recommended GPA of 3.0 (not a requirement) ??? Exercises COVID Safe protocols ??? Attend two service events per semester ??? Tell a bit about yourself, what interests you, what drives you, career goals or other goals, hobbies ??? Must submit a list of activities and ideas for group fun, collaboration, and social engagement within the bounds of current COVID regulations. ??? Must be a student at Texas State
