Name : International Studies Club
Description : The International Studies Club at Texas State University is an organization in which students can gain knowledge of different cultures, keep up to date on current events, and learn about study abroad opportunities. We bring in faculty members to provide background and information on global topics and then follow with open discussion. Our meetings are ideal for making connections with respected faculty members and students! Also, we are very involved on campus. We host social events like our annual German Potluck, we sell food and hand out fliers in the quad, look forward to participating in Bobcat Build, and we work closely with Pi Gamma Mu, Sigma Iota Rho, and Unicef. Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings.
Purpose : In the International Studies Club we aim to enhance members' knowledge of various global cultures, discuss international issues, hear faculty as well as student perspectives on current events, and have presenters come speak about study abroad opportunities for Texas State students.
Membership Requirements : Membership is open to students interested in international events/affairs.
