Name : Student Government
Description : The student government's mission is Students Serving Students. Student Government establishes avenues for student involvement in university affairs, acts as servant leaders to the student body, and represents the students as our constituents. The core values of the Texas State Student Government are: Advocacy, Service, Democracy, Leadership and Integrity.
Purpose : To better represent the student body, to unite more closely the interests of the students and faculty, to obtain better leadership for guidance to higher goals and ideals, and to provide for the more efficient and successful management of all student activities.
Membership Requirements : Membership in student government may but does not always require election by the student body or appointment by the president and confirmation by the senate.
