Name : Student Association for Campus Activities (SACA)
Description : SACA is the primary source for free entertainment on campus putting on events all year long. We provide fun and diverse programs that encourage fellowship and camaraderie among students on campus. We put on the annual events such as Homecoming Week and a Spring Festival as well as recreational events, local outings, and music and arts.
Purpose : The purpose of this chartered organization will be to provide educational, entertainment, cultural and social programs for the Texas State community. SACA connects students with the Bobcat community and enhances the college experience through social programs and events. SACA also assists in increasing retention and recruitment rates at Texas State and establishes an exceptional reputation while preserving campus traditions.
Membership Requirements : Qualifications Students seeking to be a member of SACA must apply for membership and: 1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.25 2. Attend weekly meetings unless prior notification is given to SACA President 3. Represent Texas State University, SACA, and yourself in a professional manner Duties/Requirements: 1. Staff SACA events 2. Attend SACA retreats 3. Attend all SACA meetings unless notice is given to advisor or President in advance 4. Distribute posters across campus as needed 5. Assist in promoting SACA via social media and networks as needed 6. Volunteer for SACA tabling/marketing days as needed
