Name : Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
Description : The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.
Purpose : - Encourage the understanding of the practice of public relations. - Deliver networking and practicum opportunities for public relations students. - Instill in public relations students the ethics of professional public relations.
Membership Requirements : Membership shall be composed of undergraduate and/or graduate students, regardless of age, race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation or national origin, who are either public relations majors or have demonstrated an interest in public relations and other related fields shall be eligible for membership. Only those students enrolled in Texas State University who are in good academic standing shall be eligible for membership in this Chapter. Any student meeting the above criteria shall be entitled to membership in PRSSA. Chapter membership shall be limited to those students who pay national and local dues.
