Name : HIM Student Organization
Description : HIMSA is an organization that involves Texas State health information management students who are either in or planing to me apart of the HIM career field. We do various amounts of community service around San Marcos, as well as preparing students for the upcoming semester and for a career after graduation.
Purpose : The purpose of HIM Student Organization is to encourage interest in the health information field. To promote interest in leadership on all levels. To edpose members to a wide variety of management tecniques and current regulatory agencies' policies.
Membership Requirements : Members are encouraged to attend monthly meeting and do volunteer events (15 hours) either with HIMSA or independently.
