Organization Information

Name : Society of Physics Students
Description : The Society of Physics Students is an organization dedicated to those interested in physics, even if you are not a physics major! We meet weekly every Thursday at 5 - 6 PM to listen to presentations from our wonderful guest speakers, do demos, or discuss anything and everything that relates to STEM. We inform members of career and research opportunities to discuss the options available outside (or inside!) of Texas State.
Purpose : The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is the gateway into the tight-knit Physics community at Texas State. With membership comes a network of others interested in physics and connections to many wonderful opportunities. SPS is active in community outreach, the student research programs on campus, as well as some local conferences!
Membership Requirements : Texas State student with an interest in physics and want to learn more about the subject.
