Name : Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO)
Description : -We bring in guest speakers from various parts of the environmental science field to share their experiences (and possible job opportunities). -We find new ways that our campus can become more sustainable and environmentally conscious, and we work to implement these strategies. -We participate in various volunteering opportunities, such as trail building, tailgate recycling, Bobcat build, and river cleanups. -We learn about new ways to reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprint in our personal lives.
Purpose : ECO is a diverse gathering of students who share a common appreciation for the environment. We focus on promoting environmentalism and sustainability through education, activism, and community service. ECO welcomes to all majors and background of those with a love for the environment.
Membership Requirements : Membership is open to undergrad, grad, PhD faculty, staff, alumni with an environmentally related focus.
