Name : Alpha Phi Omega
Description : APO participates in leadership workshops and seminars to strengthen the culture of our chapter and individual skills. Brothers attend social gatherings to establish brotherhood and lifelong friendship during fraternity conferences in Texas and at Nationals. Service projects are offered throughout the semester that make a difference on campus, in the city of San Marcos, and throughout the nation.
Purpose : Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity that has over 350 active chapters in the United State, more than 250 chapters in Philippines, one chapter in Australia, and one brand new chapter in Canada. APO was established in 1925 and promotes Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Texas State - Nu Gamma also participates in regional and national service projects and leadership workshops with brothers from other universities. Brothers develop leadership skills, lifelong friendships throughout the nation, and make an impact in the community. Hazing is strictly prohibited by APO and that of Texas State and those seeking to gain membership will never be asked to participate in any event in which they feel uncomfortable.
Membership Requirements : Open to any student regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.
