Name : Diamond Sweethearts
Description : We are a special interest organization dedicated to the promotion and growth of the Texas State Athletic Department. Diamond Sweethearts strive to encourage the support of Bobcat Athletics by assisting the football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, and baseball programs with game day operations.
Purpose : Since our founding in 2001, Diamond Sweethearts has been recognized by Texas State University as a special interest organization. With our purpose nestled right in the Athletic Department, our members proudly represent the Bobcat community through promoting the growth and development of the one-of-a-kind athletic program found here at Texas State. By assisting the athletic staff with game day tasks and operations at football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball and baseball events, we are able to successfully act as liaisons between the Athletic Department and the university in order to generate positive student support and participation at athletic events.
Membership Requirements : Try-outs for Diamond Sweethearts are held each semester at the beginning of each semester. Those interested must be a full-time Texas State student and have a 2.25 GPA. Members are selected by an application/interview process and are chosen by the Diamond Sweetheart officers.
