Name : Texas State Wake
Description : Texas State Wake is a club that allows offers members the opportunity to wakeboard or wakesurf, both behind the boat and on the cable. It doesn't matter if you've never picked up a board, or if you think you already know all the tricks in the book. Our club is a place for growing in your water sport skills, making new friends, and having fun. While we are not an official TXST Sports team, we do compete in wakeboarding competitions with other colleges, some of which we travel to. (Competing is not required.) Our club also has weekly activities such as bowling nights and volleyball nights, and occasionally social events.
Purpose : Give Texas State Students the ability to learn or improve at wakeboarding, wakeskating, and wakesurfing. Also to form strong bonds between students representing Texas State in competition.
Membership Requirements : Open to all students who attend mandatory events, pay dues, and would like to improve their skills in wakeboarding, wakeskating or wakesurfing. No experience required. All grade levels welcome.
