Name : Texas Rising
Description : We do civic engagement work to advocate for the issues of reproductive justice, environmental justice, LGBTQ+ equality, voting rights, criminal justice reform, and education equity. This organization is non-partisan, but identifies as progressive. Activities will include tabling on campus, registering voters, participating in phone banks, block walking, attending movie screenings, working with other progressive organizations, and engaging with the San Marcos community.
Purpose : The purpose of the organization is to promote civic engagement among the youth demographic of Texas and to further progressive causes.
