Name : Bobcat Amateur Radio Club
Description : The Bobcat Amateur Radio Club is open to both licensed and non-licensed individuals. We will offer local training and testing for individuals wishing to earn a license or to upgrade his or her existing license. Various activities will be offered throughout the year, such as Field Day, Morse code practice, event coordination, emergency net practice, and more.
Purpose : The Bobcat Amateur Radio Club exists to recognize and enhance the value of the amateur service to the public as a voluntary noncommercial communication service, particularly with respect to providing emergency communications; to continue and extend the amateur's unique ability to enhance international goodwill; to facilitate the amateur radio licensing of Texas State University students; and to encourage and improve the amateur radio service through rules which provide for advancing skills in both the communication and technical phases of the art.
Membership Requirements : All persons interested in the Amateur Radio Service with personal aim and without pecuniary interest are eligible for membership. Upon receipt of current dues, agreement to radio room operating rules through written documentation, and agreement to club bylaws through written documentation, persons are considered members.
