Name : Texas State Trap and Skeet Shooting Club
Description : Goals for this organization include teaching people of all backgrounds the value of firearm safety and developing or strengthening relationships that can be instilled by the sport of clay shooting. The club will work to increase membership and also promote team unity, campus involvement, and an agenda that exemplifies the importance of improving gun safety.
Purpose : The purpose of this organization is to spread the knowledge and values of safety and sportsmanship in the community of shooting sport athletes to all people interested. It will serve as a place for its members to meet and build relations as well as teach newly recruited athletes about safety and the sport of Trap and Skeet. The club will also work to grow the next generation of shooting athletes to compete safely, and progress in their marksmanship. Activities within the organization include recreational shooting events, firearm safety classes, competition events amongst team mates and rival clubs, and overall growth in the individual and team.
Membership Requirements : For current students, a minimum of 6 credit hours is required to become a member. (Unless fewer credits are required to graduate in the spring and fall semester). This organization will not discriminate based on protected classes (i.e. race, religion, ability, sex, country of origin, etc.).
