Name : Women in Medicine
Description : Our endeavor is to encourage, empower and equip women to pursue careers as health professionals, while affording opportunities to network, lead and volunteer alongside other women with similar passions and goals. Members will give monthly health-related presentations at local shelters, shadow women physicians in nearby hospitals and clinics, participate in fundraising for women related non-profit foundations, and earn volunteer hours in the local community and hospital.
Purpose : Our mission as Women in Medicine is to reach women who are aspiring to pursue health related careers and provide sufficient resources to encourage and empower women to succeed in a male dominated profession.
Membership Requirements : Attend meeting, participate in activities and service learning activities, volunteer.
