Name : Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)
Description : The Texas State Chapter of AWM aims to promote the study and love of mathematics while supporting and encouraging women in mathematics. Activities will include meetings, mentoring, guest speakers, workshops and travel to math conferences. Open to all genders.
Purpose : The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to encourage women and girls to study and have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.
Membership Requirements : Must be in good academic standing with Texas State University.
