Name : Environmental Professionals in STEM
Description : Environmental Professionals in STEM at Texas State University is a multi-disciplinary organization that unites Environmental Science with Civil Engineering. This organization will be introducing students to topics covering common activities of Environmental Engineers: groundwater/ soil remediation design and implementation, subsurface fate and transport of contaminants, waste and water treatment plants, non-point and point sources of pollution identification and remediation, low-impact design and construction, renewable technologies, and modeling software programs. E.P.S. will be hosting speakers from various Environmental Science and Engineering backgrounds to talk about their first hand experience on field projects. Furthermore, E.P.S. will present students with foreknowledge of regulatory agencies of environment importance
Purpose : To cover topics pertaining to environmental remediation and water quality. Also, we will offer networking for job opportunities to students
